A Nova Christmas

News | December 8, 2015

Nova Singers, under the direction of Laura Lane, will perform A Nova Christmas on Friday, December 18, 7:30 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church.

This year’s program includes standard carols such as Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas; O Come, All Ye Faithful; The First Noel; What Child is This; O Come, O Come, Emmanuel; Bring a Torch; and Jingle Bells. The concert also will include carols from Russia and Haiti, an African carol accompanied by drums, and Franz Biebl’s Ave Maria.

“I think of this year’s Christmas program as the best of the best of Christmas. I chose what I thought were audience members’ favorite carols from all of our past holiday concerts, asked the singers to vote for their favorites, and put them all in this marvelous program. There has never been a Nova Christmas program with more standard, familiar carols than this one, and yet we still have our signature variety in terms of styles, tempos and emotions.”

Nova Singers, a professional vocal ensemble, is known for the beauty, charm, sincerity and emotional power the singers bring to their music.

Tickets will be available at the door. Admission is $18 for adults and $15 for seniors. Students are admitted for free. For more information, visit novasingers.com.
