Info meetings set for Appalachia, Dominican trips

Meet new people. Serve other. Grow faith. St. Paul people will lead two trips in the beginning of 2016 – one to the Dominican Republic, the other to rural Appalachia. Informational meetings are coming up this month.

Mission Appalachia, info meeting this Sunday, June 7: Each spring and fall, St. Paul volunteers travel to one of ASP’s lodging sites in rural central Appalachia. Join trip leaders Joel Moore and Jan Aplin October 17-24 in Guyan Valley (Brenton), West Virginia, to make homes safer, warmer, and drier for low-income families.

An info meeting will be held on Sunday, June 7, 10:30-11 a.m. in the Luther Loft. Trip cost is $325 with an initial nonrefundable deposit of $50. Registration deadline is June 15; spots are limited. Sign up HERE. (Jan Aplin, janaplin50@gmail.com)

Dominican Republic, info meeting Sunday, June 28: Spend a week serving at the Doulos school, working with children and learning more about the culture and exploring the beautiful surroundings.
