Confirmation Ministry | Wednesdays, 6-7:30 p.m.

St. Paul’s confirmation ministry is a wildly popular experience that gets to the very heart of where middle-schoolers live. It’s a creative, spirit-enlivened venture into the life of faith, relying on the care and attention of one caring Christian mentor for every carload of kids.

Learning and fun

The two-year confirmation experience for grades seven and eight is built on learning, serving, and Christian community. With a spirit that declares “it’s a sin to bore a kid,” the focus is on the great biblical stories of God’s grace, forgiveness, and love.

Wednesday evenings

Starting this fall, confirmation will move to the first three Wednesdays of the month, September through May, 6-7:30 p.m. The change provides greater continuity for learning and flexibility for deeper relationships between kids and their adult sponsors.

Each Wednesday evening will combine interactive learning sessions with pastors and other key leaders, explorations of the Bible, small group experiences with dedicated adult sponsors, and worship moments — along with games and activities tying into each evening’s theme.

Retreats

Camp Shalom is the place for confirmation retreats: in the fall for seventh-graders and the spring for eighth-graders.

Worship

Regular worship is the key to lifelong habits of faithfulness. Confirmation youth are asked to worship each weekend. Youth are heartily encouraged to participate as acolytes in worship.
