The March 2011 mission trip to Appalachia overflowed with the joys of serving. So much so, that “Mission Appalachia” has moved into an ongoing ministry status at St. Paul.
In this pocket of poverty, the median household income is $16,500. Fixing roofs, building walls, repairing stairs, and painting exteriors are just some of the tasks local residents need to maintain their homes. Building skills are not necessary. A servant heart is required.

Serve alongside the students, teachers, and community of Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic. There the Doulos Discovery School develops leadership and discipleship through education, hands-on serving, and Christ-centered outreach.
The St. Paul mission will focus on how clean water impacts the quality of life. Teams will research, meet with experts, conduct field work, serve the community, and grow relationships.

Flood waters inundated the Cedar Rapids area in Summer 2008. The home reconstruction continues. Crews of St. Paul people have poured out love and energy during reconstruction blitzes.
St. Paul congregation took a strong serving spirit back to the Gulf Coast in 2008. On this second mission trip, 39 St. Paul people participated in a rebuilding mission trip for households impacted by Hurricane Katrina.
