A Fond Farewell
Dear Beloved Community of St. Paul Lutheran Church,
As I sit down to write this message, my heart is filled with a mixture of gratitude, nostalgia, and anticipation. It’s hard to believe that my time as your resident pastor is coming to an end. This Sunday will be my last day serving this incredible congregation, and while I am excited for the new adventures that await, I cannot help but reflect on the many cherished memories we’ve created together.
A Journey of Faith and Fellowship
When I first arrived at St. Paul, I was greeted with open arms and warm hearts. From that moment, I knew this was a special place. Over the years, we’ve shared moments of joy, sorrow, growth, and grace. Together, we’ve celebrated baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and the arrival of new members. We’ve mourned the loss of loved ones, comforted one another in times of hardship, and found strength in our faith.
Moments to Remember
I will never forget the energy of Sunday services, the beauty of the choir’s hymns, and the heartfelt prayers that have echoed through the sanctuary. Bible studies, learning hours, and fellowship gatherings have been a source of deep spiritual nourishment and genuine connection. The community outreach programs, from Madison Market to volunteering with various community non-profits, have exemplified the spirit of service that defines St. Paul.
One of my most treasured memories is the annual Christmas Eve services. The sanctuary aglow with candlelight, the voices of the congregation lifted in harmonious song, and the palpable sense of peace and unity—these are moments that will remain with me always.
Thank You
To the many individuals, couples, and families of St. Paul who helped shape and form me over these two years, thank you for your unwavering support and guidance. Your dedication to the mission of this church is truly inspiring, and your support for St. Paul residents will only continue to enliven future ones and the life of this congregation. To the choir and musicians, Chris, Brian, and so many more, thank you for enriching worship with your talents.
Looking Ahead
While I will no longer be serving as your resident pastor, I know St. Paul Lutheran Church will continue to thrive. This community is strong, resilient, and deeply rooted in faith. I’m excited to see how you will grow and evolve in the years to come.
As I move forward into the next chapter of my ministry, I carry with me the lessons, experiences, and love that you have so generously shared. My time here has been transformative, and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to serve and grow with you.
A Final Blessing
In closing, I offer you this blessing:
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord’s face shine upon you and be gracious to you.
May the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.
Thank you, St. Paul Lutheran Church, for an unforgettable journey. I will hold you all in my heart and prayers.
With love and gratitude,
Gina Bielski
