An Update from Sarah Yotter

“It’s hard to believe that I am almost halfway through my internship! These past five months have helped me to explore and step more fully into my pastoral identity. I have loved spending time with the people of St. Paul and hearing their stories. Walking alongside others and sharing in the joys and challenges of everyday life continues to be my favorite part of being a pastor.

What has surprised me most about St. Paul is how small it feels once you are part of it. I was worried that I wouldn’t enjoy being in such a large congregation, but the ways you build community and care for one another create deep and meaningful connections.

As I approach the midpoint of my internship, I’m beginning to dream about where I feel most called and what the Spirit may have in store for me. One requirement of my program is an internship project, and I am developing a Bible study series called Sacred Landscapes: The God of Gardens and Wilderness. I’m excited to continue learning and teaching with people of all ages this fall.

I’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire St. Paul community for truly embodying radical hospitality. I could not have asked for a better place to learn and grow. Thank you for all the ways you support me!”
