Time capsule — Mark your calendars for April 24, 2094

News | October 5, 2015

A gray steel box in the St. Paul archives, locked and taped, has an envelope that says it is a time capsule, sealed in April 1994, and to be opened 100 years later.

While there is no indication of what is in the box, the year leading up to that day was a time of expansion at St. Paul, with a $2.5
million renovation.

In a newspaper article, Pastor William Waxenberg is pictured breaking ground with member Ruth Hamann waiting her turn to do the same.

The project was to build an accessible main entrance on the south portion of the building, install an elevator, add classrooms to the education wing, renovate the Church House, expand Fellowship Hall and Luther Loft, and increase parking.
