A loving heart
Twelve years ago, while I was serving on the church council, the idea of starting a men’s Bible study came up. I felt like God was saying, “Jeff, you’re supposed to do this.” We’ve got a great group of guys. We just meld together and can really talk.
I have been doing lay speaking since 1991. I have a big heart for small country churches. Back in college I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do with my life. I was sitting at home one day and suddenly felt a calling to go into ministry. There was a need for lay speakers. After thirty years most people retire but, here I am, still going. There are often weeks I don’t know what I’m going to speak about, but I know God will bring it to mind. I’m the type that when I see a need, I believe in stepping up if you can. I believe everyone has unique talents and gifts to share.

I remember those council days, Jeff! I admire your continued contributions to the St. Paul community and beyond; well done.
