Ash Wednesday worship to be held February 26

News | February 18, 2020

Christians gather in Ash Wednesday to mark the beginning of the Lenten Journey to Easter. Pastor Peter Marty preaches for these services of Holy Communion on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

On this solemn day you’ll receive, if you’d like, an ashen cross on the forehead reminding us of our frailty and sin. It’s an invitation to make each day a new beginning, in which we are washed in God’s mercy and forgiveness.

At 12 noon, this 45-minute service is a meditative respite in the work day.

At 7 p.m., the evening service includes music by the Chorale, along with a message for the children.
