CC Conversations is a first-Thursday-of-the-month opportunity to discuss religion, culture, and social issues of the day using articles and news from the Christian Century magazine as a springboard for conversation.
Gather in-person at church on Oct 6, 6:00 – 7:15 p.m.
Peter Marty facilitates. Participants read in advance from the Oct. 2022 issue: “Essays by readers: EYE” (pp. 54-59). [As you read, think of what you would say or write if asked to speak personally about the word “eye.”] Also read “Who’s responsible for coincidence” (p. 1), and if you have time, “Frederick Buechner’s many benedictions” (pp 48-53).
Stop at the church to pick up onsite copies of these articles on a shelf in the church library, or subscribers can read a print copy or access an online copy at home.
