Over the past several months, the St. Paul mission outreach committee has been actively discerning how to respond to identified needs across the Quad Cities. That discernment has led to a deepened commitment to an already meaningful partnership with Tapestry Farms.
Later this summer, St. Paul will launch a new ministry focused on packing and delivering fresh produce and personal care items for local families. This hands-on initiative offers a way to care for both neighbors and the earth.
An orientation session outlining volunteer opportunities will be held Sunday, Aug. 10, from 10:15-11 a.m. in the Chapel. Additional details will be shared in the August Journey magazine, Connections, and eNews.Tapestry Farms is a nonprofit urban farm rooted in the Quad Cities that walks alongside refugee families, supports food access, and nurtures creation. It was founded in 2017 by former St. Paul director of communication, Ann McGlynn.
