Sermon series focused on Deuteronomy

News | July 31, 2015

In an exploration of God’s faithfulness, commands, blessing, and legacy through the people of Israel, Katy Warren and Peter Marty will preach from excerpts of the Book of Deuteronomy — Aug 1 – Aug 23. Deuteronomy is a series of sermons preached by Moses (c. 1410 BC) over a 40-day period prior to Israel entering the Promised Land.

This generation of Israelites, about to enter a new land filled with many dangers and temptations, had never heard the commandments delivered at Sinai, or seen the miracle of the parting of the Red Sea. Moses preached to remind the Hebrew people of God’s authority and power, and of their rich identity as people tied to God.
